Push-Back Rack for Masonry Wire Company

The ceiling clearance height was extremely low in the manufacturer’s warehouse. Stein’s crew installed a Low-Profile Push-Back System which allowed the customer to store pallets up to 3-high. The competitor’s offering, on the other hand, only allowed 2-high storage.

The challenge was addressed through an onsite survey. The results of the survey showed that a push-back rack was the most effective storage solution for the limited amount of space that was available. We provided the customer with detailed warehouse design so they would have a general idea of how the project would go. The customer reviewed the warehouse design and gave us the OK to begin the project right away.

Pallets are always loaded from the front. What the Low-Profile Push Back Rack System does is push all of the pallets behind it back one position, to allow for easily accessible Last-In-First-Out inventory management. Pallets can be stored 2-6 deep, while a single-aisle can be used for front-only loading. Our push-back rack system is 4-deep by 3-high, which replaced the existing single-deep selective rack system the customer originally had.

All of the warehouse materials were delivered right on time, which allowed our team to complete the installation ahead of schedule. The customer now had the extra storage they needed for the pallets, and was thrilled that they were able to store up to 75% more pallets in the same area of space.
