Overview

Stein Service & Supply is a value-add distributor of racking, storage, and other material handling equipment. Headquartered in Charlotte, Stein has been providing B2B warehouse solutions for the past 25+ years across the Southeast.

This team member will be a key part of our operations group, with responsibilities including driving to job sites, operating and transporting lift equipment, and helping with installation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who likes variety in their day-to-day and enjoys getting things done.

Responsibilities

  • Load truck, ensuring items are properly packaged for transit.
  • Drive in a safe manner to the delivery location.
  • Unload truck at job site, ensuring items are properly handled and stored.
  • Run local deliveries as needed, often to pick up or drop off forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • Operate power tools, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Occasionally assist with other warehouse-related activities.
  • Obey all safety policies and report any unsafe conditions or equipment.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to pass a 10-panel drug test. No CDL required.

Preferred qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience operating power tools, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Positive attitude and ability to get along with co-workers and customers.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.

Working Conditions

This position will involve working onsite at customer locations. Most work is performed within driving distance of Charlotte, but there will be occasional overnight travel.

The position will require regularly lifting or moving objects that weigh more than 50 pounds and on occasion up to 100 pounds. The employee must be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds, and wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $19.00 – $23.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
