Stein Service & Supply is a value-add distributor of racking, storage, and other material handling equipment. Headquartered in Charlotte, Stein has been providing B2B warehouse solutions for the past 25+ years across the Southeast.

We are looking for an installer/foreman/technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that enjoys taking charge and getting things done. Depending upon their experience, this person will either work with 2-3 other installers or oversee and lead the team. The person must be able to execute installations in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Execute installations of pallet rack, mezzanines, and warehouse equipment in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Work with 2-3 other installers, or oversee and lead the team, depending on experience.
  • Read and understand simple drawings and instructions.
  • Operate power tools, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Solve problems on the job site.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to pass a 10 panel drug test.

Preferred qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year experience in a similar field.
  • Background in general construction or installation of non-powered industrial equipment.
  • Experience operating power tools, forklift, and scissor lift.
  • Positive attitude and ability to get along with co-workers and customers.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.

Working Conditions

This position will be working on-site at customers locations. Most of the work is performed within a driving distance of Charlotte, but there will be rare, but occasional overnight travel.

The person will need to regularly lift or move objects that weigh more than 50 pounds and on occasion up to 100 pounds. The ability to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds, and wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $19.00 – $23.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
