Selective pallet racking systems offer many benefits. Items are easier to retrieve, most forklifts can access the racks with little difficulty, and products can be picked or stocked without many adjustments and very little handling. Additionally, the products can be picked individually or by the pallet and can easily be seen. Many configurations can be created due to their versatility, and you can use either a last-in, first-out or, a first-in, last-out system. If you have fast-paced applications that contain a lot of different products, a selective pallet racking system may be the best option for your facility.

How Much Rack do You Need?
Selective pallet racking systems contain uprights and beams. Beams are attached to the uprights to secure the pallets. They are available in a variety of different lengths and can be installed at any height. The racking can be back-to-back or single systems. Back-to-back systems will need two sets of uprights because they contain bays that connect to each other back to back.
Prior to ordering your selective pallet rack, you need to measure the products you plan on storing. To determine the width of your pallet rack bays, we recommend determining the width and height of your pallets and/or products. Next, you will need to estimate the number of rows you can have based on your warehouse size. Make sure you consider other factors in your facility such as the sprinklers, lights, and ceiling in addition to your product dimensions.
